Protection of Voter Information

Voter information must always be protected. This section applies to anyone, including volunteers, staff, vendors, and supporters, who receives access to voter lists, canvassing or phone-banking data, supporter records, or any other personal information about voters ("Voter Information") through the Campaign.

If you have access to Voter Information, you agree to:

  1. Use it only for Campaign purposes. Use Voter Information solely for authorized election and political activities of the Campaign, and as permitted by Idaho law. Voter Information may not be used for any commercial purpose, for harassment or intimidation, or for any purpose unrelated to the Campaign.
  2. Keep it confidential. Do not share, sell, give, post, or otherwise disclose Voter Information to anyone not authorized by the Campaign, including on social media, in group chats, or by email.
  3. Keep it secure. Store it only on devices and accounts you control, protect those with strong passwords and device locks, and never leave printed lists unattended or in vehicles. Do not leave it in public or shared places.
  4. Copy only what you need. Do not copy, photograph, export, or download Voter Information beyond what your assigned task requires.
  5. Report problems promptly. If a list, device, or account containing Voter Information is lost, stolen, or accessed by someone without permission, tell the Campaign immediately.
  6. Return or destroy it. When your task ends, or when the Campaign asks, return or securely delete or shred all Voter Information in your possession.
  7. Respect voters. Honor requests from voters not to be contacted, and treat every voter with courtesy and respect. Do not record or collect information about voters beyond what the Campaign has asked you to gather.

These obligations continue after your involvement with the Campaign ends. The Campaign may immediately revoke access and remove you from Campaign activities if you violate this section, and may pursue any remedies available under law. Misuse of voter registration data may also be a violation of Idaho law.

Volunteers

Volunteers act on their own behalf and are not employees of the Campaign unless agreed in writing. Volunteers must follow Campaign instructions and applicable law, and may not make statements or commitments on behalf of the Campaign unless authorized.

Contributions

Contributions to the Campaign are subject to Idaho campaign finance laws, including contribution limits and reporting requirements. By contributing, you confirm that you are legally permitted to do so and that the funds are your own. Contributions are not refundable except as required by law or at the Campaign's discretion. Contributions are not tax deductible.

User Content

If you send us comments, messages, or other content, you grant the Campaign a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, and share it for Campaign purposes, such as quoting a supporter's statement. We will not publish your phone number, email address, or street address without your permission.

The website's content, including text, logos, and images, belongs to the Campaign or its licensors. You may share links to our pages and quote reasonable portions with attribution. Other use requires our written permission.

The website may link to third-party sites, and the Campaign may use third-party services to send messages or process payments. We do not control and are not responsible for third parties, and their terms apply to your use of their services.
